Get answers to common questions about Chin Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free results for two to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and reduce thickness; schedule maintenance every 3–4 weeks for consistent, polished results.
Mild redness or sensitivity is normal immediately after waxing and usually fades within a few hours to a day. We apply soothing aftercare and recommend avoiding heat, heavy products, or sun exposure for 24–48 hours to minimize irritation.
Sensation varies, but most clients report brief, tolerable discomfort during hair removal. Experienced technicians use quick, precise techniques and warm wax to reduce pain. Applying topical numbing or taking pain reliever beforehand can help if you have low pain tolerance.
For best results, allow hair to be about 1/4 inch long and avoid shaving for two weeks. Gently exfoliate a few days prior, skip strong retinoids or chemical peels for one week, and arrive with clean, product-free skin.
Waxing can sometimes lead to ingrown hairs, especially with curly or coarse hair. Prevent them by gently exfoliating after 48 hours, using non-comedogenic moisturizers, and scheduling regular waxing. If persistent, ask our technicians about professional exfoliation or targeted treatments.
Most clients book touch-ups every three to six weeks depending on hair growth and desired smoothness. New clients may need more frequent visits initially; after a few sessions, regrowth often slows and appointments can be spaced farther apart.
